Scholarships

 2019 Maryland Dairy Industry Association Scholarship

  • Three scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college and graduate/professional school students that are Maryland Dairy Industry Association members or a dependent of a member.
  • Applications must be postmarked no later than January 10, 2019.
  • Scholarship winners will be notified in February and are encouraged to attend the Maryland Dairy Industry Association Annual Meeting held on Friday, February 22, 2019.

2018 Maryland Holstein Association Scholarship

  • Up to four scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students attending a two-year or four-year degree-granting institution in a College of Agriculture or a four year college in a non-agriculture area of study who currently have or have had a Holstein dairy project through 4-H and/or FFA.
  • Applicants are eligible to win a scholarship twice.
  • Applications must be postmarked or emailed no later than January 15, 2018.
  • Scholarship winners will be notified in February and are encouraged to attend the Maryland Holstein Association annual meeting.

2018 Maryland Dairy Shrine Scholarship

  • Scholarships will be awarded (number and amount will be determined by committee) to a current junior or a prior junior member of a Maryland dairy breed organization (22 years of age or younger as of 12/31 of award year), who is attending a two-year or four-year college with a major of their choice.
  • Applications must be postmarked no later than January 15, 2018.
  • Recipients of the Maryland Dairy Shrine Scholarships will be announced at the Maryland Dairy Convention on Friday, February 9, 2018. We encourage applicants to attend the banquet.

2018 Mid-Maryland Dairy Vet Scholarship

  • One scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate currently majoring in dairy science, animal science or pre-veterinary medicine at a two-year or four-year college.
  • Applications must be postmarked no later than January 15, 2018.
  • Recipients of the Maryland Dairy Shrine Scholarships will be announced at the Maryland Dairy Convention on Friday, February 9, 2018. We encourage applicants to attend the banquet.

2018 Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Scholarship

  • Five $1000 scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing a career in the dairy industry. To be eligible, applicants must be the son, daughter, or employee of the a current co-op member or the son or daughter of a Maryland & Virginia employee. They must be currently enrolled at a two- or four-year accredited college, university or trade school.

  • Applications must be postmarked no later then February 16, 2018

  • Recipients will be selected based on their responses to essay questions, financial need, leadership activites and their career aspirations with accouncement of winners April 2018.
