The Department of Animal and Avian Sciences has academic programs that
students
often choose to prepare for entry into professional schools in the health
sciences (medical, dental, pharmaceutical, etc.) and top graduate research
programs in the US. You will fulfill course requirements for application
to medical, dental, and graduate schools and prepare for the GRE, MCAT,
and DAT exams.
Student Services:
- Mandatory advising with a faculty member to ensure that you work closely
with a professional dedicated to helping you reach your goal.
- College scholarships for incoming freshmen.
- University pre-professional health advisors who will assist you in
preparing applications and in connecting with professional schools throughout
the country including the University of Maryland Medical and
