Research Interests:
Research in my laboratory encompasses a range of topics concerned with neuroendocrine regulation of endocrine and behavioral aspects of reproduction, with emphasis on the avian system. Early development of these regulatory systems and perinatal differentiation of male or female specific processes are under investigation as are changes in neuroendocrine systems associated with aging. Studies emphasize both the fundamental molecular and cellular basis of neuroendocrine processes as well as the dynamics of endocrine and behavioral responses at the system level. Effects of environmental factors, such as endocrine disrupting chemicals are also considered.
