Junior Sources: may only come from the Purple Dairy resource handbook and the 2008 Virginia Dairy Bowl Study Guide (http://www.dasc.vt.edu/youth/bowlmat.html)
Intermediate Sources: the two junior references and also the Hoards Youth quiz in December 2007
Senior Sources: not limited to set sources, but it is recommended to use the above materials and the past year of Hoards Dairyman as a starting place.

All divisions will be using the 4-H Goat Manual 4-H 131 from Ohio. Please prepare 50 questions per division that you have team entering in.

The 2007 Maryland Dairy Quiz Bowl Team competing at the North American International Livestock Expo pictured above:

The Maryland 4-H Dairy Bowl Team tied for seventh overall in the 4-H Invitational Dairy Bowl Competition. Eighteen teams from across the nation participated and when the contest was over the team from Virginia came out on top while the teams from Wisconsin and New Hampshire were second and third respectively. Maryland team members included: Travis Huber of Harford County, Logan Moore of Queen Anne's County, Sarah O'Brien of Anne Arundel County and Clayborne "Zack" Zimmerman of Frederick County. Clayborne placed second overall in the written phase of the contest. CONGRATULATIONS!
